International Children's Book Day
International Children's Book Day is celebrated every year April 2nd. It is organized by the International Board on Books for Young People also known as IBBY. Every year the IBBY chooses a different theme or author from the host country to inspire the love of reading and stories. Last year's theme was hosted by Ireland, "Imagine Nations Through Stories". This year's theme is "Many Cultures, One Story" sponsoring the country is the United Arab Emirates. Some places host competitions for the inspired writers. International Children's Book Day isn't just for children but also for adults who are children at heart.
